Welcome

We would like to welcome all of experts and attendees from different countries in the world to ICOOPMA 2012, which will be held on June 3rd - 7th, 2012 in Nara, japan. We have great honor to organize the International Conference on Optical, Optoelectronic and Photonic Materials and Applications (also known as International Conference on Optical and Optoelectronic Properties of Materials and Applications) which is the fifth in the prestigious ICOOPMA series. The first one was held in Darwin, Australia, in July 2006 and covered a wide range of materials and applications in optics, optoelectronics and photonics. The Second ICOOPMA was held in London, England, 29 July - 3 August, 2007, the third one in Edmonton, Canada, 20-25 July, 2008, and the fourth one in Budapest, Hungary, 15-20 August, 2010. We hope to follow the best traditions of this series and provide discussions between researchers working on different classes of materials that have similar applications or have been characterized by similar techniques.

We extend our warmest greetings to you and hope you will have a rewarding and exciting stay in Nara during ICOOPMA 2012.
